Side By Side
With over 17 years of experience in the industry (first as a foreman at a leading machine shop then as the owner of another successful machine shop), John Ver Boort identified a strong need for a local state-of-the-art machine shop to serve the paper and paper-related industries in the Fox River Valley and surrounding area.
In 1993, that need was met by the opening of Advance Industrial Machine (AIM). In its over 10 years in business, AIM has grown not only in size, equipment, and staff - but also in the wide variety of industries it serves. The 44,000 square foot facility features state-of-the-art machinery and an experienced, highly skilled group of people.
Three years later, AIM identified another need for a local fabricating shop that could offer their existing clients more complete services and faster turnaround time.
This resulted in the opening of Midwest Sheet Metal (MSM) in 1996. The 15,000 square foot facility has quickly gained a reputation for quality work, competitive pricing, and timely deliveries.
Located side by side, these 2 companies work hand in hand to serve a wide variety of industries in the Fox River Valley and surrounding areas.
John runs the businesses along with sons, Mark and Bob, who each have college degrees in Industrial Technology and 20 years of hands-on experience. Their team of over 40 professionals are dedicated to offering the highest quality of machining and fabricating services available today. |
